1.8 million people about loose 2.2 billion in tax return |

IRS announed that around 1.8 million people failed to claim their tax refund in 2003 as they did not filed tax return. The total amount of refund with them totals approximately $2.2 billion. This amount exclude the Earned Income credit that low income worker would have got.
To collect money a tax return for 2003 must be filed with an IRS office no later than Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Also tax return for 2004 and 2005 should be filled to get the refund check as IRS will check whether they owe any taxes in 2004 and 2005 tax year and if yes, the refund will applied against the tax libility. |
