Withdraw Social Security now or wait 2006/09/26 13:48 Karma: 0
I'm going be 65 next year and still working and making around $60K. I am going to work as lons I can. My Question is when should I start drawing Social Security? If I delay my benefits will increase. If I start recieving SS now, will the increase in my taxable income make it worthwhile?

Depends on your life expectancy 2006/10/06 14:48 Karma: 0
It depends on your life expectancy and your general health. If you're healthier than the average 65 year old, you may be better off waiting. If you are in poor health, your life expectancy is lower, and you should consider starting now. But again you need to talk to financial planner to come up with a plan to decide when to start taking the benefits
