Hi All,

I have filed 2005 federal and state tax in April 2006. I got my federal tax returns but I have no idea what happend to state tax, I owe some amount to IRS and so I had mailed then the papers as well as the check, but the check was never processed and the amount was never deducted.

I have no idea if they ever processed my state tax at all, how do I check that ?
Will there be any problem if I file my 2005 tax now along with 2006 tax ?
What are the implications in doing so?

Did you contacted your state tax board ? Did you mailed the papers to the correct address ? Best bet will be to contact them as soon as possible with evidence that you mailed your tax returns in time to avoid penalities.

If they did not received it for what ever reasons, you will have to file it again.
