I am american citizen and my wife is not. We are living in europe and she has never lived or worked in America. I need to file back taxes for years 2003 and 2004. My marriage was in 2005 and like to know whether I need to get an ITIN number for my wife. Can I just file as "single" for the back taxes. Is it OK ?

You need to file either as Single for each year you were not actually married.
