What is the income tax rate in Charlotte ? Is there any city tax in Charlotte ? We recently moved from Detroit and is it a good move tax wise ?

There is no city income tax in Charlotte, but the mechenburg county charge additional 1/2 percent in sales tax, in addition to the state wide tax of 7%. So the sales tax in Charlotte will come to 7.5 %

If you're not a subscriber to payroll updates, the tax table cannot be changed. Tax tables can only be updated via the payroll update. When you're doing payroll manually.you have to calculate taxes manually.
